Southern Adventure Unleashed: Exploring the Heart of the South with 2kidsatheart.com

We hope you had a fantastic holiday season and a joyful start to the new year. After some much-needed time with family and friends during the holidays, we've been busy planning our next adventure, and we can't wait to share it with you.

Over the next several months, we'll be embarking on an exciting journey through the southern states of the United States. Our route will take us through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, and finally, back to our home state of Texas. Stay tuned for regular updates as we share our travels and adventures with you.

During this trip, we're looking forward to exploring several National Parks, encountering manatees in Crystal River, Florida, and biking through the picturesque Everglades. Of course, we'll be extra cautious to avoid any unexpected encounters with alligators! Our journey will take us all the way down to the southern tip of Florida, where we'll explore the stunning Florida Keys and make a day-trip to the beautiful Dry Tortuga National Park.

From there, we'll head up the eastern shore, exploring the wonders of Georgia and South Carolina, including a visit to Congaree National Park, among other exciting sights.

But before we set off on our adventure, you know that no long journey is complete without a little hiccup. In our case, our water pump decided to act up right before our departure. Given the need for boondocking on our journey and the unpredictable winter weather, a functioning water pump is absolutely essential to ensure we have water on board.

We want to give a huge shoutout to Jarrad Chapman at McClain's RV for coming to our rescue. Jarrad not only helped us find the right water pump but also coordinated with the local distribution center to ensure we could pick it up on the same day we were set to leave! Talk about impeccable timing.

And speaking of unexpected challenges, our trusty Jeep Wrangler, which we tow behind our rig, experienced some issues over the holidays, including blown head gaskets and the need for a new motor. Yikes! We want to extend our gratitude to the fantastic team at Shottenkirk Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, especially General Manager Jason White and our Service Advisor Layce Skelton. Their commitment to delivering high-quality service and putting the customer first ensured that we were back on the road as promised.

So, as we gear up for our first stop in Shreveport/Bossier City, LA, we're feeling grateful for the support and assistance we've received and excited to hit the road once again.
