We started our journey across the northern part of the country to Mackinac Island. Our first overnight stop was in Spokane, Washington, and let me tell you, it was a spot worth mentioning. We parked our rig at the local KOA in Spokane, which was a great choice. The entrance and exit were a breeze, and they had spacious pull-through sites for us, which made settling in a snap.

We did hit a bit of construction on our way to the park, but the KOA team was on the ball. They kept us informed about the road closures and guided us through the detour hassle-free.

The park itself had plenty to offer in terms of activities and amenities, making it a solid choice for families or anyone looking for a comfy base.

As for dinner, we opted to try out Vaqueros Mexican Restaurant in Spokane. Starting off with fresh salads, salsa, and chips was a nice way to begin. And the main course – fajitas. They were darn delicious, and if we find ourselves back in the area, we'd definitely swing by again.

So, there you have it – our brief stopover in Spokane, Washington. A smooth stay at KOA and a satisfying dinner at Vaqueros made it a sweet start to our journey. Stay tuned as we continue towards the captivating Mackinac Island, keeping it low-key and enjoyable all the way.

Until next time, keep spinning the wheel of adventure!

Happy RVing!
