Hey fellow adventurers! Our recent stopover in Meridian brought a mix of delightful experiences and a couple of unexpected turns. Let's dive in!
KOA Boise Meridian
We decided to stay at the KOA Boise Meridian, and I have to say, it's conveniently located right in the heart of Meridian. This means access to restaurants, groceries, and other amenities is a breeze. The campsite itself was clean, featuring an indoor pool and spa, and for the fun-seekers, there's a game room with a pool table and puzzles. Plus, they offer a rental space for gatherings. We had a spacious pull-thru site with gravel pads and cute patches of grass. Oh, and for those looking for an upgrade, they've got patio sites with grills. Shoutout to their friendly staff who guided us to our spot.
Lucky Fins Dinner Delight
Once we set up camp, hunger led us to Lucky Fins. Believe the buzz; it's #1 in Meridian for a reason! Our server, David S., was on-point with his suggestions. Those house salads? More gourmet than garden-variety. I indulged in the Honey-Chipotle Salmon - utterly delicious! Meanwhile, Kevin's choice, the Sesame Crusted Ahi, looked like a gourmet's dream, and he confirmed it tasted just as dreamy.
M. Vince’ Nail Spa: A Not-So-Relaxing Experience
Hoping to give our hands and feet some TLC, I booked us at M. Vince’ Nail Spa. I'm a big fan of NextGen nails, but unfortunately, our experience here was less than stellar. Pricey, rushed, and not up to par with Texas standards, my nails started breaking within days. Also, cash-only tips? A no-go for me. Note to self and others: research more before committing.
Zullee Mediterranean: A Mix of Yay and Nay
Post-nail disappointment, we popped into Zullee since it was in the same complex. Our baseline for Mediterranean food is Platia Greek Kouzina in Frisco, Texas. Zullee was decent but didn't quite hit the mark. The trio of hummus? Good. The Gyro meat? Tasty. But the Greek salad was a surprising lettuce-less fatoosh which didn't resonate with me. Service, though, was top-notch. A note for fellow Diet Dr Pepper lovers like me: they serve Tractor Beverage Sodas, so you might miss your caffeine fix.
Movie Time at Cinemark Majestic
To wrap up the day, we headed to Cinemark Majestic to watch Oppenheimer. It's a must-watch! Kevin and I were totally engrossed.
So, that was our Meridian adventure. Stay tuned for more as we continue our journey.
Until next time, keep spinning the wheel of adventure!
Happy RVing!
