Hello, fellow travelers and road trip enthusiasts! Today, we're taking you along on our recent adventure to Eden, ID. Our trip revolved around two spots – Anderson Camp RV Park and Cactus Pete’s Casino. Get ready to dive into our journey, where we'll give you the real deal without any frills.

Anderson Camp RV Park: Nature's Retreat

Beauty at Anderson Camp RV Park

Our first stop was Anderson Camp RV Park, conveniently located near Interstate 84. Situated behind a low-key Sinclair gas station, this park offered a dose of nature amidst the trees. Upon arrival, we noticed the park's range of amenities, including a 100-foot waterslide and a quirky putt-putt course, perfect for some family fun.

Our RV found its spot in a pull-through site with 50 amp service, conveniently positioned at the end. While it made for easy parking, the dump station was located right next to us, separated by a simple white picket fence. It turned out not to be a big deal as we were only there for one night and the one RV that used the dump station was not there long.

Cactus Pete’s Casino: Trying Our Luck

Looking to add some excitement, we ventured about an hour away to Cactus Pete’s Casino, perched near the Idaho-Nevada border. As a Boyd gaming casino, it held a promise of entertainment, though the player's club wasn't particularly remarkable. But hey, we were there for the thrill!

Our evening kicked off at the blackjack table, where I managed to triple my starting bet. Switching to the slots, my luck continued, turning my initial $100 into a surprising $800. Kevin didn't have the same fortune, but that's how the casino game goes. After some gaming action, we took a break for dinner at the lone open restaurant on Sunday night. While the food wasn't anything to write home about, it gave us a chance to relax and enjoy each other's company.

Although we didn't delve into the hotel offerings, Cactus Pete’s Casino does provide accommodations for those looking to extend their stay.

The Verdict: Real Experiences Await

Our time in Eden, ID, brought us a mix of simple pleasures and straightforward experiences. Anderson Camp RV Park offered a taste of nature and recreation, although it fell short of wowing us. Meanwhile, Cactus Pete’s Casino provided some gaming fun, even if outcomes varied.

So, if you're considering an escape to Eden, we would consider it a nice, clean, and convenient stop right off the highway.

Until next time, keep spinning the wheel of adventure!

Happy RVing!
