Greetings, fellow travelers! We recently embarked on a journey to Theodore Roosevelt National Park and had a brief but memorable stopover in Bozeman, Montana along the way. Join us as we recount our stay in this welcoming town.
Bear Canyon Campground: Cozy and Convenient
Our adventure began at Bear Canyon Campground, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! Nestled amidst the stunning Montana landscape, this campground served as our comfortable haven for the night. We'll admit, the steep hill leading to the park did pose a bit of a challenge, but once we arrived, we found spacious and easily navigable spots that more than made up for it.
Bear Canyon stands out for its amenities, catering to families and couples alike with cabins, a pool, a playground, and tent sites.
Montana Ale Works: A Culinary Adventure
After setting up camp, we dined at Montana Ale Works, a local restaurant with a diverse menu. Our meal started with crispy Brussel sprouts with blue cheese, setting the tone for our dinner.
Shelly ordered a burger, while I opted for the pork schnitzel with braised red cabbage and German potato salad. Though not the best schnitzel I've ever had, it was a tasty departure from our usual fare. The restaurant also offered an extensive drink selection, featuring 35 draft beers and 40 cocktails made from local spirits.
Montana Outpost Casino: A Night of Fun

No trip is complete without a visit to the local casino, and Montana is no exception. Following a tip from Montana Ale Works' manager, we headed to Montana Outpost (No website available) for gaming excitement.
This casino, located within a liquor store and attached to Outback Steakhouse, offered a dozen gaming machines, a bar, and complimentary drinks while playing. Most machines had a $2.50 maximum bet.
Our night at Montana Outpost Casino was filled with entertainment and fun, providing a perfect end to our Bozeman stopover.
Bozeman left a lasting impression with its serene beauty at Bear Canyon Campground, the diverse menu at Montana Ale Works, and the gaming excitement at Montana Outpost Casino. We hope our travel tales inspire you to explore this charming corner of the world. Until next time, fellow wanderers!
Until next time, keep spinning the wheel of adventure!
Happy RVing!
