Welcome to the next exciting stop on our southern tour - Clinton, Mississippi, where we made a brief overnight stay at the Springridge Mobile Estates and RV Park. While it was a short visit, it certainly had its memorable moments.
Springridge, besides being the full-time residence of many, also offered U-Haul rentals. Upon our arrival, we encountered a minor challenge as the office was closed. However, they thoughtfully left us a map with customized instructions on how to navigate the park, considering the size of our rig. Unfortunately, the suggested route had its quirks, with some roads not accurately depicted on the map. Dodging U-Hauls and taking unconventional paths made for an interesting entry.
My sister, always "in her van down by the river," had the advantage of witnessing the quirks first and directed us away from a potential dead-end. Maneuvering our 45-foot beauty into the spot required a wide turn and left us feeling like we were hanging out just a bit.
Given the winter weather, the faucets were dripping to prevent freezing. While functional, it created icy patches around the site. The electrical post, having seen better days, added to the adventure with its close-to-the-ground placement. Thank goodness for our trusty Hughes Power Bull Dog Surge Protector!
As for amenities, the options were limited. The bathhouse, while clean, had a non-functioning lock on the women's room, which could have been problematic in a busier season. However, it sufficed for the quieter winter evening.
We opted for a cozy dinner indoors and did not explore local restaurants during our short stay. A quick trip to the nearby Kroger and Walmart allowed us to restock groceries and refresh our aging king-size pillows.
Dinner at home was a treat, featuring flavorful pre-seasoned salmon, a delightful mushroom medley, and air-fried asparagus seasoned with rosemary sea salt. A fresh salad with homemade ranch dressing completed our meal.
Overall, Springridge provided a convenient and hassle-free stop for us. Our familiarity with the area made exiting and reattaching our "Beast" (Jeep Wrangler) straightforward. If ever passing through Clinton, Mississippi again, we'd consider returning to Springridge.
Next on our journey, we're off to Laurel, Mississippi, to greet our HGTV friends, Ben and Erin, in their "Home Town"! Stay tuned for more adventures! 🚐🌟 #2kidsatheart #ClintonMississippi #RVLife #TravelStories

Shan and I love to watch "Hometown" with Ben and Erin. I would love to spend a day in his woodworking shop building something.
